Color Mark
Social app for tattoo communities to connect and support one another
During this program, my team and I were given the task to create a mobile prototype centering around tattoos. We were given a persona who desired a unique platform for tattoo artists and tattoo lovers to share their ideas and work.
The Problem
After discussing with our mentor and reviewing similar applications, we designed the first look with Figma. The prototype would implement features such as adding their own images using their created account or browsing as a guest through various categories of content with the options of saving, commenting, or downloading.

After researching various social media platforms, I found inspiration in Pinterest’s approach to categorization. Its clean layout and intuitive design were ideal for a media-focused app with a limited range of post types.
The home page is populated with posts from other community members. The navigation bar features five icons, with the second being the "Find Near Me" icon, which helps users locate nearby tattoo parlors or artists.
The central plus icon allows users to create a new post, while the mail icon (currently not implemented) is designed for direct messaging between members. Finally, the profile icon gives users access to manage their accounts.

Developing
When opening the app, users are greeted with options to sign up, log in, or continue browsing as a guest.
The home page showcases the latest posts from the community, allowing users to search for specific tattoos or filter results by category or rating.
Selecting a post provides access to additional content from the same user, along with similar recommendations. Users can interact by liking, saving, or downloading posts.
Lastly, the plus icon at the bottom of the screen enables users to upload and share their own tattoo designs.
